Sandhills/Thedford defeated Twin Loup in the opening game of the D1-10 subdistrict in Broken Bow Monday night 53-40. Twin Loup led by one at halftime but Sandhills/Thedford came out hot in the third quarter outscoring the Wolves 17-5 to take control of the game. Cauy Pokorny had a big night finishing with a game high 30 to lead the way for the Knights. Twin Loup was led by Dillan Saner who had team high 17. Sandhills/Thedford advances to play the top seed Anselmo-Merna today at 5pm which will be followed by Ansley/Litchfield against Burwell at 6:30. South Loup is the top seed in the C2-11 subdistrict at Cozad and will play Perkins County tonight. Perkins County defeated Sutherland 56-53 in OT Monday night to advance. Cambridge will play Southern Valley in the second semifinal.
Ravenna defeated Amherst 56-43 to advance at the C2-10 subdistrict at Kearney Catholic. The Bluejays will now play top seed Centura while Arcadia/Loup City will meet Doniphan Trumbull in the other subdistrict semifinal
Silver Lake defeated Red Cloud 62-31 at the D2-8 sub in Minden. Silver Lake will play the top seed Loomis while the 2 seed Blue Hill will play SEM tonight
Hershey advanced at the C1-11 subdistrict in Sutherland Monday night with a 46-28 win over Gothenburg. The Panthers will play top seed Ogallala today followed by Cozad against Chase County.
In the four team D2-10 sub at North Platte St. Pat’s, the top seed Mullen will play Stapleton in the first semifinal today followed by Arthur County against Hyannis.
The winners of today’s games will advance to the subdistrict finals on Thursday
