Area Athletes Entertain Crowd at MNAC Senior All Star Games

Area athletes entertained the crowd in attendance at Sandhills High School Friday night during the MNAC Seniors All Star girls and boys basketball games. Graduates of the schools that make up the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference took the floor with and against each other one more time. In the girls game, the teams were coached by JD Furrow of Anselmo-Merna and Ryan Ridenour of Mullen. Team Furrow came out victorious by a score of 35-29. Macey Widick of Brady connected on a couple of threes to help lead Team Furrow to the win. Widick led all scorers with seven points. Team Ridenour was led by Marlee Taylor of Sandhills/Thedford and Kaitlyn Crowe of Mullen as each scored six points.

The boys game was a fast paced high scoring affair. The teams were coached by Jeff Cole of South Loup and Brent Myers of Anselmo-Merna. The game was close throughout with Team Myers coming out on top by a score of 89-81. Team Myers was led by Chris Paitz of Ansley/Litchfield who led all scorers with 20 points on the night. Team Cole was led by Jared Tolliver of Cody-Kilgore who finished with 16.
