A winter storm watch has been issued for the eastern panhandle, north central Nebraska, and portions of west central Nebraska Saturday night through Sunday. Snowfall amounts from 4 to 7 inches with locally higher amounts is forecast in the watch area.
Strong north winds with gusts to 40 mph are likely causing blowing snow with significantly reduced visibility.
