Weather Hits Racers Hard In Boone County

ALBION - After last week's tornado, racers at the Boone County Raceway had another round of severe weather on Friday. Racetrack officials were in constant contact with the National Weather Service, relaying that information to drivers. Driver of the #6 Hobby Stock, Wyatt Lehman of Norfolk said, "it just kinda sucks driving all the way down here and not being able to race." The night started off clear, but the thunderstorms moved in quickly, ending the night early. Racers were able to complete heat races, but at 9 PM officials had to shut the track down. Next week there will be double features.
