Viaducts on Track to Open in October

COLUMBUS - Viaduct construction on 3rd and 18th Avenues is moving closer to the finish line thanks to some warmer weather. City Engineer Rick Bogus said they were hoping to have the viaducts open in September, but said the extended winter caused the project to slow slightly. Bogus said they are planning to have the Viaducts open to motorists in October. Once the city has completed the 3rd and 18th Avenue projects, they will begin the work on the 12th Avenue viaduct. Several homes and buildings in the 12th Avenue area have been removed or taken to a new location in preparation for construction.
