UPDATE: 8th Street Shut Down From Anhydrous Leak

COLUMBUS - 8th Street was closed off near 3rd Avenue due to a gas leak for just over 4 hours. Police on scene say a truck was pulling a trailer that held an Anhydrous tank, and while turning eastbound onto 8th Street, the trailer fell off and caused a leak in the tank. 8th Street was blocked off from 5th Avenue and east of 3rd Avenue, and 3rd Avenue was blocked off from 6th Street heading north. Police on scene said crews were called out at roughly 11 a.m. Wednesday morning to deal with the leak. At approximately 3:00 p.m. crews reported that they had completed safety measures and were finishing up at the scene of the incident. The damaged tank was removed from the location.
