UPDATE: 3 Vehicle Accident Leaves 2 in Critical Condition

HUMPRHEY - A three vehicle accident at the Highway 81/91 Intersection has left two people in critical condition, say authorities. Platte County Sheriff Ed Wemhoff says, the accident was called in at approximately 11:10 a.m., on Wednesday, after an eastbound pickup pulled out in front of a southbound semi. Wemhoff says the driver and passenger of the pickup were transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, in critical condition. The two vehicles veered into a third pickup that was also headed northbound, says Wemhoff. Humphrey and Creston Rescue Units responded to the accident, and everyone involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, says Wemhoff. All of the vehicles involved were left with over $30,000 in damage, says Wemhoff.
