A minor two-vehicle accident, at the intersection of South E Street/NE Highway 2 and NE Highway 21, briefly diverted traffic as emergency crews worked to clear the scene on Wednesday, December 2.
According to Broken Bow Police Officer Colby Cassidy, a semi with a grain trailer was traveling north on Highway 21 when it pulled out wide to turn right onto South E Street/Highway 2.
At the same time, a small pickup was also traveling north on NE Highway 21 when it pulled up next to the semi and trailer and attempted to turn right. The semi driver was unable to see the pickup as it began to turn and the grain trailer impacted the pickup on the driver’s side.
According to Officer Cassidy, the driver of the pickup was taken to Melham Medical Center as a precaution, but he did not believe the driver had suffered any significant injuries.
Further details will be released if made available.
