Traffic stop leads to arrests, half pound of meth

LINCOLN, NE (News Channel Nebraska) – Lincoln Police arrested two people for possession of drugs after pulling over a stolen car driving without headlights.

Authorities say on Saturday around 3 AM, an officer saw a car driving without headlights near 35th and O Streets.

The officer pulled over the vehicle and contacted 37-year-old Ross Richardson and 34-year-old Ashley Menard.

Richardson had more than $2,000 in cash on him as well as around 15 grams of meth.

Officers learned the two were staying in a local hotel, obtained a search warrant, and found around half a pound of meth inside the room.

Richardson and Menard were both arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
