Tanker and car collide on Norfolk’s Industrial highway

NORFOLK -- Another collision at what has become a dangerous intersection closed north 1st street and Industrial Highway early Friday afternoon. Madison County deputies temporarily closed the intersection after a tanker ended up on its side and came to rest in the northwest ditch and a black sedan landed in the southwest ditch. No word on whether either of the drivers or any possible passengers were injured in the wreck. This is the third accident at the same intersection in the last 30 days. On January 18th, 25-year-old Tyson Freeman of Norfolk died following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection.
