Student Removed from Duncan Day School for Threat

DUNCAN - A student was removed from a local school after making a comment about a gun on Tuesday. The Platte County Sheriff's Office received a terrorist threats report on Tuesday at around 1:51 p.m. at Duncan Day School. The sheriff's office said a student at the school made a comment about bringing a gun to school, and after responding to the report they removed the student from the premises. The sheriff's office says they believe there is no threat at this time, and the student well be allowed to return to school at a later date. Any further disciplinary action will be handled by the school, says the sheriff's office.
