BROKEN BOW— With only one topic on the agenda for the Broken Bow City Council, it was a short meeting on Tuesday, February 9.

According to Broken Bow City Administrator Dan Knoell, the lone discussion centered on a new ordinance that was put into law by the legislature regarding city councils that have four members, like Broken Bow. Knoell stated that the new ordinance allows the mayor to be deemed a member of the city council for the purposes of establishing a quorum.

This new ordinance also states that the mayor or any three council members have the power to call a special meeting of the City Council.

The Council passed the ordinance unanimously after waiving the three readings.

The next Broken Bow City Council meeting is scheduled for February 23 at 6 PM.
