SILVER CREEK - Silver Creek's own Jessie Hendrickson is celebrating her 100th birthday on Thursday.
Silver Creek Village Clerk Jennifer Czarnick says Jessie was born in Polk County, and moved to Silver Creek when she was 20 years old. Hendrickson is a Chicago Cubs fan, Nebraska Football fan, and enjoys gardening, as well as going to church on Sunday's at United Methodist Church.
"What an amazing day to turn 100," says Czarnick. "Jessie from all of us in Silver Creek.... We wish you Happy 100th Birthday and send love and hugs your way! I guess life in a small town will keep you young forever, and Jessie is proof of that!"
