Sheriff’s Office Investigating Theft From Car Dealership

COLUMBUS - The Platte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft they say occurred at a local car dealership. The Sheriff's Office says in a press release that over the Labor Day weekend, an entire exhaust system was removed from a 2012 Ford F-250 Diesel Pickup, that was parked at a Columbus area dealership. The PCSO says, the exhaust system would only be compatible with a similar type of pickup but say it is unknown if the suspect would have sold or attempted to use the exhaust. Anyone with information regarding the crime, are encouraged by the PCSO to call Crimestoppers at 402-563-4000 or contact their office directly at 402-564-3229.
