Scribner Braces for Illegal Immigration Vote
Protesters gather outside a meeting of the Scribner City Council to oppose an ordinance that would bar illegal immigrants from getting housing or jobs in town. Ultimately, the council decided to put the issue to the voters.
Scribner, NE.—When folks in Scribner go to the polls next month they'll be voting on more than the state's next governor or U.S. Senator. They will also be voting up or down on a controversial proposal regarding illegal immigration.
