SCHUYLER - Two people are in custody after a chase involving a stolen vehicle.
It happened Wednesday, ending in the city of Schuyler. Colfax County Attorney Denise Kracl says dispatchers received a tip that a Hummer stolen out of Butler County was heading west on Highway 30 near North Bend.
Sheriff's deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver, identified as 20-year old Jose Vance, took off, leading authorities on a brief chase into Schuyler.
Deputies were able to stop the car and arrest a passenger...21-year old Dean Michael Smith...while Vance took off on foot. He was later located and taken into custody.
