COLUMBUS, Neb. – Two Platte County inmates are accused of getting into a scuffle to start their new year.
21-year-old Morshawn Hawkins of Duncan and 26-year-old Armond Floyd of Omaha were cited for assault of a confined person.

Hawkins is accused of stealing vehicles and possessing meth. Floyd is in custody after being sentenced to 30-40 years in prison for a child abuse conviction that resulted in the death of a two-year-old.
