PLAINVIEW, NE -- Authorities say a man died in a head-on collision southeast of Plainview on Friday morning.
Pierce County Sheriff Rick Eberhardt says 48-year-old Tim Wacker of Plainview was driving southeast on Highway 13 when his SUV collided with an oncoming SUV driven by 25-year-old Chance Johnson of Norfolk. The accident happened around 7:30 AM three miles south of Plainview.
Eberhardt says Wacker was pronounced dead on the scene. Johnson was flown by medical helicopter to an Omaha hospital for treatment.
The collision is under investigation. The Nebraska State Patrol and Plainview Fire and Rescue assisted on the scene.
