According to Custer County Sheriff Dan Osmond, there is a possibility that you will receive a letter in the mail requesting a donation of $25 or $35 (single vs. family) for an honorary membership in the Nebraska Sheriff’s Association. The letter will have Sheriff Osmond’s signature, and it is NOT a scam.
This is a new fundraising initiative for the Nebraska Sheriff’s Association. If you have any questions or receive a mailing and are still not sure if it is real, please contact the Custer County Sheriff’s Office at (308) 872-6418 or stop in and they will verify the letter.
