More Ice On the Way

VALLEY – Get your ice scrapers ready, another coat of ice is expected to cover eastern Nebraska Monday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory until 9 a.m. Tuesday. NWS forecasters say freezing rain and freezing drizzle will create icy conditions. Portions of northeast Nebraska can expect an inch or two of snow to fall as well.

The system is expected to start dropping precipitation around 10 p.m., and continue on until sunrise Tuesday. Icy conditions are highly likely on the roads, with travel conditions expected to be similar to – if not worse than – Monday’s conditions.
