Monroe Woman Accused of Stealing Over $86k from Columbus Employer

COLUMBUS - A Monroe woman is facing 5 felonies after allegedly writing over $86,000 in checks to herself from her employer. Jennifer Held, 45, when questioned by police admitted to writing unauthorized checks to herself on behalf of her Columbus employer, says a police affidavit. Held is alleged to have been doing this since April of 2015, and stealing $86,808, from the business, says the affidavit. Held is charged with 3 counts of felony forgery, and two counts of felony theft by deception, says court records. Held is due back in court for a status hearing on May 10th, says court records.
