Man Suspected In Fatal Crash Wanted On DUI Charge

NEBRASKA CITY – The man suspected of crossing the center line in a Highway 75 accident that killed two people Sunday had an active arrest warrant out for him. Ricky Anthony, 54, did not show up for trial on Sept. 27 in Douglas County on charges of driving under the influence, speeding and open container. An arrest warrant was issued and a charge of failure to appear filed Oct. 1. He was also fined $50 in April for driving under suspension. Charges in Otoe County had not been filed by Wednesday morning, but investigators say Anthony was driving a vehicle he had borrowed from a woman in Falls City that was involved in a collision that resulted in the death of 32-year-old Rachel Curry and her step-daughter 15-year-old Chloe Curry. Anthony was arrested in Falls City, 57 miles away from the crash scene.
