Man Pleads Not Guilty to Breaking Woman’s Clavicle

SCHUYLER - A local man has pled not guilty to a felony charge, after allegedly assaulting a woman and breaking her clavicle. Schuyler Police were called to the hospital back in February of this year, after a woman had arrived with a broken right clavicle. The woman told police, her and the man got into an argument, when the man pushed her, causing her to land on her shoulder, and break her clavicle, says the affidavit. The man, Carlos Gutierrez, then allegedly took the woman to the hospital, says court records. When police confronted the man, he did not admit to pushing the woman, but said he would accept the charges and told them to take him to jail. Gutierrez pled not guilty to a class 2a felony charge for 1st degree assault, and will appear for a status hearing in Colfax County Court on Wednesday.
