LINCOLN - A Madison man was sentenced to 8 months in prison for social security fraud.
Federal prosecutors say that 36 year old Anastacio Cruz-Santiago used a false social security number belonging to another person in July of 2016 to acquire a job at Packers Sanitation in Madison. On the job application he used the initials C.B., and falsely claimed he was a United States citizen when he was actually a citizen of Mexico.
Cruz-Santiago was ordered to be deported upon his release from prison.
