Loup Makes Lease Payments Totaling $860k to Local Communities

COLUMBUS - Loup Power has made lease payments to 5 area communities, totaling $860,000. Loup  Power says in a press release that each community that received a payment, owns it's electric distribution system, and says that the payments are made to compensate them for use of those systems by LPD. The money consists of 10 percent of the retail revenue generated by the sale of electricity in the fourth quarter of 2017, says Loup. Loup says the money is often used by each town for a variety of different public projects. See the payment totals given to each community below.
