Loup City Polish Days 2019

LOUP CITY—It’s that time of year again! The Polish Capital of Nebraska is ready for the annual Polish Days Celebration this weekend June 7-9. The Loup City Area Chamber of Commerce and many local businesses help to make this weekend possible. A post on the Polish Days – Loup City, Nebraska Facebook page gives a huge thank you to this year’s sponsors.

“A community event of this caliber wouldn’t be possible without their support,” the post reads. “We get great help from the local businesses,” Jen Smydra added.

Jen Smydra, with the Loup City Chamber of Commerce, said in conjunction with all of the free events for kids, event organizers have incorporated countless elements of Polish heritage such as the Polish spirits tasting, Polish food court, the painted eagle in town, Polish crafts, and abundant Polish flags!

“We try to put a lot more of the Polish ethnicity into the celebration for the weekend,” Smydra said.
