Leigh HS Takes First at State One Acts

NORFOLK - Leigh High School will be sporting some new hardware, after the school took first place at the Class D2 State One Acts. The group from Leigh performed "Shrek" and took first place unanimously with scores of 59, 60, and 60, from the three judges, for a total of 179. Loomis came in second with a 175, followed by Shickley with 168, and Wynot with a 167. Six teams competed in the Class D2 division. Leigh High School's Cort Pokorney was also recognized as the Outstanding Male Performer. Loomis High School earned honors for outstanding technical crew, and outstanding female performer, in Eden McCain. Leigh HS says Haden Held and Hollie Kuhr were also recognized in the outstanding actor and outstanding actress categories.
