LBPHD COVID-19 Update: 17 New Cases And 25 Recoveries; Risk Dial Remains Elevated

LBPHD: Seventeen new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the nine counties of Loup Basin’s district since Monday.

The cases were reported from:
Custer (4) – community spread, contact with known positive
Valley (4) – community spread, contact with known positive, travel out of state
Sherman (3) – community spread, contact with known positive
Howard (3) – community spread
Greeley (2) – community spread, contact with known positive
Garfield (1) – community spread

All known close contacts have been asked to quarantine.

Twenty-five new recoveries have also been reported in Howard (8), Valley (7), Greeley (6), Garfield (2), Custer (1), and Blaine (1) counties.

LBPHD District-Wide Risk Dial (Updated 9/29/2020)

The dial has decreased slightly this week and still remains in the orange. The weekly percent positivity of tests increased this week and the number of cases being classified as community spread went down slightly. Other factors that figure into the risk dial calculation include healthcare capacity, testing availability, and the ability to conduct contact tracing efficiently.
