HS Football Scores 10/20

The South Loup Bobcats claimed the D1-8 district title on Friday night thanks to a 47-26 win over Elm Creek. Jace Connell ran for 3 touchdowns and caught another while Senior quarterback Jack Rush threw for 3 TDs and ran for 1 as South Loup finishes the regular season undefeated at 8-0.

Broken Bow dropped their regular season finale to Kearney Catholic 28-13. Kearney Catholic led 21-0 at halftime then held on in the second half to pick up the victory. On the first play of the 2nd half, Broken Bow quarterback Grayson Garey connected with Josh Harvey for an 80 yard touchdown to make the score 21-7. With the score 28-7, Garey and Harvey would hook up again from 21 yards out to pull to within 28-13. Broken Bow would threaten again with under 4 minutes left but a fumble inside the Kearney Catholic 10 yard line would be recovered by the Stars and preserve the victory. Broken Bow concludes the season at 4-5.
