Homeless Man Charged With Stealing Snack Food

FALLS CITY – A homeless Falls City man is facing felony charges for shoplifting snack food from Kwik Shop.

Police arrested Derrick Boltz, 28, on allegations that he shoplifted a bag of Bugles, a corn meal snack that is fried in coconut oil, and a bag of Takis, a tortilla chip snack.

It is charged as a felony because it is a third offense. Boltz was previoulsy convicted of taking bottles of vodka from the Kwik Shop on two separate occasions in 2018.

He is also charged with trespassing because he has been banned from the Kwik Shop.

The Little Free Pantry in Falls City was stocked full on April 28.
