Heavy Rains Soaking Northeast Nebraska

WEST POINT - Northeast Nebraskans are bracing themselves for a heavy day of rain. Viewer-submitted video showed deep standing water along Highway 32 in rural Burt County. The National Weather Service received reports of almost six and a half inches of rain falling in the West Point area as of 7 a.m. Monday. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for much of northeast Nebraska until 7 p.m.
