HARTINGTON - A Northeast Nebraska company is being recognized for its efforts in bringing broadband internet to rural areas.
Hartelco was one of 13 rural carriers recognized this week as a Smart Rural Community Showcase award winner by the Rural Broadband Association.
Officials from Hartelco were honored at a conference in Phildelphia.
RBA officials say the recognition is part of a larger initiative designed to encourage broadband development in rural areas.
