Krist Reacts To Denial Of Press Conference At Tecumseh Prison

I want to know who directed the corrections staff to kick me and the news media off the property

LINCOLN - The Krist for Governor Campaign has issued a formal public records request to the governor’s office and department of corrections trying to learn why the Democratic candidate was not allowed to hold a press conference on the prison grounds at Tecumseh on Thursday. A press release from the Krist campaign says acting warden, April Buling-June, was accompanied by two guards when Krist was asked to leave the property. The press release says a government-owned SUV was parked in front of the Tecumseh prison sign. Pete Ricketts is not managing state government like a business as he promised. If this were a business, the shareholders would have fired him by now. This lack of transparency is another example of why he has lost all credibility when it comes to fixing our failing prison system,” Krist said.
