GRAND ISLAND - Hall County community leaders have come together in support for Governor Pete Ricketts' re-elction bid.
The Governor announced the Hall County Leadership Team at Chief Industries on Tuesday afternoon which included Mayor Jeremy Jensen, city councilmen and women, as well as several Hall County Supervisors.
"We've made a lot of progress in my administration so far and we want to work very hard to earn each and every vote in this next election cycle," Ricketts shared. "By having so many great community leaders here in Hall County, and in Grand Island, it really helps me get that momentum going into this next election."
Jensen added he believes the governor's prior business experience is an asset in moving Nebraska forward.
"I've had the really wonderful opportunity to work with him the past two-and-a-half years, and just understanding the business background of what he brings to the Executive Branch of government I think has been so incredibly important for not only our community but also the state. Certainly I want to put my support behind him and make sure we do everything we can to make sure he remains in office for another four years."
