A 66-year-old man sustained serious injuries Sunday in a one-vehicle crash Sunday night in Mineola, Iowa.
Kenneth J. Kleffman, 66, of Glenwood, Iowa, was taken by ambulance to Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. He was later transported to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha for further treatment.
Investigators from the Iowa State Patrol determined that just before 6 p.m., Kleffman was southbound on 4th Street near the Maple Street intersection in a 1994 Ford Explorer. He lost control of the Explorer, which crashed into the south ditch on Maple Street.
The incident remains under investigation. The Mills County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
