Foundation Dual Credit High School Student Scholarship Applications Due Friday, January 7

Time has nearly run out to apply for the Broken bow Class of 1959 Educational Fund and the Don Davis Early Entry Access Scholarship. Applications are due to the Custer County Foundation on Friday, January 7.

Broken Bow Class of 1959 Educational Fund

  • Student must be a Broken Bow High School Early Entry student enrolled at Mid-Plains Community College – Broken Bow Campus.
  • Scholarship is available to BBHS juniors and seniors enrolled in dual credit courses.
  • Students may apply every semester they are enrolled at Mid-Plains Community College.
  • Applicant MUST demonstrate financial need; financial need will be a critical selection factor.
  • Students receiving the ACE Scholarship are not eligible.
  • Scholarship will be available 1st and 2nd semester.
  • Recipients may reapply.

Don Davis Early Entry Access Scholarship

  • Student must be a Broken Bow High School Early Entry student enrolled at Mid-Plains Community College – Broken Bow Campus.
  • Each recipient will receive tuition for only one class per semester. (The class can be for 1, 2, 3, 4, or even 5 credit hours.)
  • Students on the free/reduced lunch list are not eligible, as they can apply for an ACE scholarship.
  • Scholarship is available to BBHS sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
  • Scholarship may be used for online or on-site class taken through the MPCC Broken Bow Community Campus.
  • Preference will be given to a student receiving dual credit.
  • Guidance Counselor must recommend the student.
  • The goal is to select a student who may not enroll in the course or will experience a financial hardship by enrolling in the course.
  • Students may apply every semester they are enrolled at Mid-Plains Community College.
  • Scholarship will be paid directly to the college after the drop out date.
