Former Broken Bow Shopko Building to be Leased by Becton Dickinson
The former Shopko building in Broken Bow will be leased by Becton Dickinson for warehouse space.

BROKEN BOW–Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in Broken Bow recently reached an agreement with ARCP SH Broken Bow, NE, LLC for a five year lease of the former Shopko building–a 31,827 square foot building located at 2353 South E Street, Broken Bow, NE, according to a press release.

As BD manufacturing operations grow in Central Nebraska, so does the need for warehouse space. The building will be used to expand BD waste and recycling efforts by increasing waste-to-fuel (using waste as fuel) by 22%, and recycling by 4.6%.

The media advisory stated the lease term is through 2025 at which time BD will evaluate an option to extend. BD is evaluating the need for additional staffing. At this time, however, BD does not anticipate a change in staffing.

BD currently operates a 315,000 square foot manufacturing facility at 150 South 1st Avenue in Broken Bow, NE, which manufactures the BD Vacutainer® blood specimen collection products and urine collection products. The site employs 575 people.
