PALMER, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Service) – This winter’s snow made life difficult for a lot of folks but it did make it easier for law enforcement to track down a wanted man this week.
Merrick County authorities say 28-year old Alan Rodriguez was arrested on Monday. They went to his home just east of Palmer to arrest him on a warrant out of Hall County. Authorities say they didn’t find Rodriguez at the home but they did find footprints in the snow leading away from the house.
Deputies followed the footprints for about five miles finally locating Rodriguez hiding behind some farm equipment where he was arrested.
