Flood waters close U.S. Highway 136 in Nemaha County

AUBURN – The first highway in southeast Nebraska was closed Wednesday night due to flooding.

Water was reported over Highway 136 between Auburn and Brownville, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads. The road is closed until further notice.

The majority of highways in northeast Nebraska are closed Wednesday night because of flooding.

Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 30 are both closed in both directions at Kearney due to blizzard conditions in western Nebraska.

In Atchison County, Missouri, southbound and northbound is closed from US-136 to Fairfax.
