Duo Lift 75th Anniversary

COLUMBUS - A Columbus manufacturing company is celebrating a milestone anniversary. Duo Lift is a manufacturer of farm equipment and related products that was founded by Arthur Hellbusch in 1943. Hellbusch began manufacturing a wagon lift in his family's milk barn, and designed a mechanism to slide between the wagon box and running gear, which lifted the box and allowed grain to be emptied out the back. From then on, Duo Lift has continued to grow and expand throughout the years, all while keeping the business in the Hellbusch family. Arthur's son Jim became President of Duo Lift in 1981, the same year that his wife Connie also joined the company. Their children David and Ben also joined the company later on, and continue to work there to this day. On Wednesday afternoon, Duo Lift held a national sales meeting at the Elk Country Club in Columbus. The meeting was attended by independent reps from around the country, as well as Columbus Mayor Jim Bulkley, Chamber of Commerce President K.C. Belitz, and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts. The meeting was a celebration of the sustained growth that Duo Lift has enjoyed for the past 75 years, and a look forward to its continue growth for the future.
