Donations to Support Arcadia Family
Brandon Cheek, 16, passed away near Westerville on October 4.

ARCADIA—Community members are showing compassion and coming together in support of an Arcadia family following a deadly car accident that occurred on Friday, October 4. Sixteen-year-old Brandon Cheek passed away near Westerville after his truck went off the highway and rolled.

Pam Goldsby with Hunters Towing and Repair told KCNI/KBBN that “she just had to do something” to help the grieving family after she spoke with Brandon’s mother. Goldsby is asking the public to donate on behalf of the family to the Brandon Cheek Memorial Fund at First Nebraska Bank in Arcadia.

According to the Hunter’s Towing and Repair, LLC Facebook page, monetary donations will be used to help with funeral expenses and “checks can be sent to the bank at 155 Bridge Street Arcadia, Nebraska 68815, C/O Brandon Cheek Family.”

Brandon attended Ansley Public Schools and enjoyed many activities including sketching, horseback riding, swimming, bowling, camping, fishing and 4-H. His passion was video gaming with multiple friends online, and spending quality time with his friends and Family. Click here to view Brandon’s obituary.

Donations are also being accepted at Bruning Bank in Broken Bow.

Goldsby hopes the public will bless the family during this difficult time. “I know it’s a caring community,” she said.
