District Court Recap: Thursday, July 21

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County District Court was called to order on Thursday, July 21 at 9:30 a.m.

Cases of note included the issuance of a bench warrant for Andrew Adams, age 54 of Lincoln. The warrant was issued because Adams was not present in court for his 9:45 a.m. hearing on a charge of allegedly violating probation.

Another prominent case involved competency. The state deemed that Eric Holler, 41, was as of July 21 incompetent to stand trial, and would undergo treatment in the care of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services for the time being. Holler is charged with two counts of alleged assault and an alleged escape from custody using force or a deadly weapon. All three are Class IIA felonies.
