Cuming County Murder Trials May be Combined

WEST POINT - Two men accused in a Cuming County stabbing death may be put on trial at the same time. Prosecutors filed a consolidation motion last week in the murder case of father-son duo Jody and Derek Olson. The two face multiple individual felonies following last year's stabbing death of Ernest Warncok at a rural Bancroft residence. Authorities say Warnock was killed, as was his dog, before his house was set on fire. Court documents indicate that a new pretrial and trial date will be set once a ruling on the state's consolidation motion has been issued.
