Columbus Man Escapes From Lincoln Jail

LINCOLN - A Columbus man, serving a 15 year jail sentence, has reportedly escaped prison. Jeremy Kudron, 41, is serving a 15 year jail sentence for charges including kidnapping, terroristic threats, and assaulting a peace officer, out of Platte, Nance, Merrick, and Hall Counties, according to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. The NDCS says on their website, that Kudron escaped custody Friday, April 6th. Details regarding the escape are not yet available. NCN has reached out to the NDCS, and will continue to update the story if more information is made available. Platte County Sheriff Ed Wemhoff says his office is looking for Kudron, but did not have any further details. Kudron was projected to be released in November of 2020, according to the NDCS website.
