Columbus Man Accused of Dealing Hallucinogenic Mushrooms

COLUMBUS, Neb. - A Columbus man was arrested Tuesday after authorities believed he was dealing illegal drugs. 18-year-old Seamus O'Hearn was arrested on suspicion of dealing hallucinogenic mushrooms after a vehicle search north of Columbus Tuesday afternoon. According to Platte County Sheriff Ed Wemhoff, around 4:50 p.m. a deputy pulled over a vehicle on the grounds of Lake Babcock for driving carelessly. Wemhoff says the deputy believed marijuana was in the vehicle and searched it. The sheriff says the deputy found hallucinogenic mushrooms, along with items typically used to sell drugs. Marijuana was also found in the vehicle and two minors were ticketed for possession. O'Hearn has no prior criminal convictions on his record.
