Columbus City Council Approves Golf Cart Path Paving at Quail Run

COLUMBUS, Neb. - Quail Run Golf Course will soon have all of its cart paths paved after a city council decision on Monday. The Columbus City Council approved to pay Gehring Construction - Ready Mix Company Inc. $12,760, for paving work at Quail Run. The paving will go from the Loup Levee to the #12 tee box, making all cart paths on the course completely paved. The approved paving will be a maintenance road for larger equipment, therefore the concrete will be poured eight inches thick. Two other bids were given to the council, one was over $19,000, while the other was over $22,000. Quail Run Golf Course has hosted several NSAA State Golf Tournaments over the past several years.
