Columbus Area at Risk of Hail, Damaging Winds, and Tornados Friday Night

COLUMBUS - The Columbus area is at risk for several forms of severe weather Friday evening. The National Weather Service says the counties surrounding Columbus are at risk for winds at 75 mies per hour and higher. There is also a chance for 2 inch hail west of a line from York and north through Columbus, and Norfolk, says the NWS. There is also a reportedly slight risk of tornados for a majority of the area west of a line from Omaha, northwest through Yankton.  The area west of a line from Lincoln, and up through Columbus and Norfolk is at a slightly higher risk. The storm will be passing through the Columbus area from 8 to 11 p.m. according to the NWS.
