Child Saved From Drowning in Norfolk

NORFOLK - An 11-year old is recovering after nearly drowning at a northeast Nebraska water park. Rescue officials were sent to Norfolk's Aquaventure Park Saturday afternoon. They say the girl had been found in the pool face down near the high dive. Aquaventure employees began C-P-R...which was then continued when Norfolk Police officers arrived. Norfolk Public Safety Director Shane Weidner says the lifeguards executed their training perfectly. He said that he could not comment on the victim's condition but that the quick actions by pool and rescue personnel were fantastic.
