Central Community College Partners With Nebraska Wesleyan

COLUMBUS - Central Community College (CCC) has become the newest partner in Nebraska Wesleyan University's (NWU) Pathways Scholarship Program. CCC President Dr. Matt Gotschall and NWU President Dr. Fred Ohles signed the agreement during a meeting at the CCC campus on Thursday morning. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Columbus Community Hospital. The Pathways Scholarship Program will provide two pathways to degree completion at Nebraska Wesleyan. One of those pathways will include a $15,000 scholarship to every admitted CCC student to NWU's traditional undergraduate program. Students transferring directly from CCC who have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours are eligible for the Pathways Scholarship. The other pathway involves those enrolling in the accelerated degree-completion program for adults. They will receive a $25 per credit hour scholarship, and a low tuition rate to attend classes at NWU's Lincoln and Omaha locations. NWU has also partnered with Southeast Community College, Metropolitan Community College, and Mid-Plains Community College for the Pathways Scholarship Program. Since 2013, 234 CCC students have transferred to Nebraska Wesleyan. The scholarship will be available immediately for students interested in transferring to Nebraska Wesleyan this fall.
