BROKEN BOW—During the last two months Casey’s General Store has undergone an expansion project and new amenities are available to the public. A ribbon cutting was held on Friday, January 26 to celebrate the updated store, which originally opened in Broken Bow in 1994 (125 S E St, Broken Bow, NE 68822).

The updated store includes a slushy machine, iced coffee, a fresh sub sandwich station, soft serve ice cream, beer cave, large restrooms, new counters, new lights and shelves. The store was essentially gutted and 16 feet were added to the facility, including a large storage room.

Store manager Mary McCaslin has worked at the store since October and said despite the two-month construction project, Casey’s only closed completely for two days.

“I’m going be a lot busier I think! But we’re going to have good customer service and just help the people and we love everybody that comes in here,” McCaslin said.

Everyday Casey’s makes on average 33,000 pizzas companywide and is considering a delivery option for later this year.
